Chapter 2 : Eevee

The Evolution Pokemon. A rare Pokémon that adapts to harsh environments by taking on different evolutionary forms. Thanks to its unstable genetic makeup, this special Pokémon conceals many different possible evolutions.

The next day hit you hard.

And that was meant literally, as you were rudely awoken by a punch to the gut.

You groaned and rolled off the couch, curled up on yourself as you held your stomach. The rude awakening and the force you were hit with concluded that it was only one Pokemon…

“Zoroark…” You grumbled.

Said Illusion Pokemon was smiling, a mix of apologetic and smug. And you also realised that the rest of your team was out.

Despite the ceilings being quite tall, Aurorus still just barely fit in the apartment. Fletchinder was perched on the back of a chair, with Delphox sitting in that same chair, patiently waiting for you to get up. Linoone and Lopunny’s heads were peeking out from behind the couch you were asleep on, with Goomy on the floor, sliding around so he was nuzzling your face and dampening your cheeks.

Sylveon, however, was laying where he was last night, looking at you with an evil and prideful smirk.

“You let them all out, didn’t you?”

“Ve.” His grin grew bigger and you sighed, slowly getting up through the pain and rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.

“Okay, okay, I’m up…” You mumble, standing up. Your uniform was rumpled a bit from falling asleep in a weird position on the couch. 

Delphox got up from her chair and smoothed out the wrinkles in your uniform. Lopunny got up to help you too, but seemed to forget that she was behind the couch, and she bumped into it. The weight of her ears and being caught off guard from it sent her tumbling over the backrest and onto the actual couch.

“Looooo…” She groaned.

Your Mega Pokemon, everyone.

Delphox helped her up as you walked to the kitchen to see if there was anything you could find in here that could keep you all satiated for the morning. You managed to find some boxes of cereal but no milk, as the fridge obviously wasn’t working.

You had made everyone’s bowls before making your own and sitting at the table between Lopunny and Delphox. Zoroark was sitting across from you, Goomy was directly on the table, Fletchinder was on the backrest of the chair pecking away at his bowl while Sylveon, Lineoone and Aurorus ate on the floor nearby.

Today marks day 1 in this new world, devoid of Pokemon and all that you knew. It unsettled you, but with your Pokemon by your side, you were sure you’d make it through until you found a way back, but for now, today you were simply going on a walk through the city to familiarise yourself with your new surroundings.

You knew for a fact that Sylveon and the others would want to come along, but today you chose Linoone to stay out of his ball and follow you around, and while the others were upset at this decision, they understood why. Linoone was great with directions, so he would easily be able to guide you back to your temporary home if you ever got lost.

“Okay, dishes are cleaned and put away, food is put away…” You muttered to yourself as you double checked that everything was done. Lopuuny shook, getting the water on her drenched fur all over the others.

You chuckled at everyone’s reactions, especially Sylveon, who looked downright agitated at the bipedal Pokemon. “Everyone, return.” You recalled everyone except for Linoone before anyone could think about getting back at Lopunny.

You carefully left the apartment and walked down the hall to the stairs, letting Linoone sniff around to remember the scent of the building and apartment. His nose was scrunched up. “Linoone…” 

“Smells that bad, huh? Probably from the water damage.” You muttered. 

You both finally reached the stairs, where Linoone looked up at you with wide eyes. SIghing, you picked up Linoone under your arms like a ball before slowly going down the stairs, holding on to the railing for support. The stairs were winding, constantly making you turn, and you recalled the natural weakness of Linoone as you did.

The Linoone species can only move straight, having trouble with curved roads and turning without stopping, so Linoone would have been very frustrated going down these steps.

Eventually, you managed to make it to ground level, and you put Linoone, letting him run out of the apartment building, with you following behind him. “It’s adventure time, Linoone! Let's take a look around the city.”

Linoone nodded excitedly and pranced ahead of you, ready to see the sights. You trailed behind him, now taking a better look at the abandoned district. It seemed like any other part of the city if you imagine it bustling with people and bright lights, but water damage caused all of this.

“Li Linoone!” Linoone called out, rushing off ahead. Snapping out of your daze, you jog after him. Seeing him get excited over the new city made you smile.

Linoone was already ready for adventure, excitedly looking at everything he’s passed, uncaring of the odd stares he’d get from passersby.

“This city’s probably as big as Lumiose City, perhaps even bigger.” You mutter to yourself as you and Linoone stop to stare at a map. The winding roads and coloured lines for the train systems made absolutely no sense to you, as well as the language it was written in, so you had to go with your gut and trust Linoone to mark out the most important spots of this city.

Your little adventure had lasted almost the entire day, and Linoone was enamoured with the new city, which you had come to learn was known as Megapolis. It was one of the most futuristic cities in China, wherever this region is, and is also known for having a huge population of both humans and demons, which explains the many multicoloured, Pokemon-like people walking about and doing their daily activities.

You now sat at the park, calming down from the whole day of walking. Linoone had managed to run any which way, and while you did manage to mark important places to return to, Linoone went on a hunting trip for as much spare change as he could. And while the apartment you were in was filled with new-ish food, some was stale, it wouldn’t be enough for all of your Pokemon plus you.

Somehow, your trusty navigator had managed to scrounge up what 523 in what was apparently called yuan, and after doing some strained mental maths by looking at prices of different things you recognized, that had to be about 10,500 Pokedollars. How… Linoone managed to get all of this was a mystery to you, but you couldn’t complain with the situation you were currently in.

“Hey, how about we head back to the others? I’m sure they’re getting impatient.” You spoke to Linoone, however when you didn’t receive a response, you turned to where the Normal-type was.

Linoone was on the grass, staring intently at a patch of bushes. “What is it buddy?” You asked, which immediately got a growl out of him. Carefully, you approached the bushes and moved a bunch of leafy branches aside to get a good look, and you gasped at the sight.

Chapter 25 / Chapter 441

This is a pretty cool shot. And I also love the reasoning, especially as I'm still in PMD hell, and as I've read the author's note at the end of the volume. When you live in a world of darkness, what you desire the most is to find a light that can brighten up your road.

I love Rotom. I don't even care that at this point they were just throwing stuff at your face, or that the robot was supposed to be at Dia's home, I just love that Rotom followed him because they equally loved anime.

So it was a machine that used waves Pokémon don't like. And from what I understood, he used it to control Giratina on the other side to open the hole back on Spear Pillar.

You can't tell me Cyrus isn't a great character in the manga. He had a backstory that explained his reasoning without any tragic twist and an amazing development thanks to Dia's words and his own experience in the Distortion World.

And despite everything, he still loves his commanders. I would have so loved to see more of their point of view during the story and learn more about them.

Other people thrown to the reader's face! It's not like he was hospitalized, like. Two days ago. Anyway.

This is a pretty damn awesome shot, if you ask me.

I love these two dumbasses. And the fact that Dia and Pearl are right behind them just confirms my idea that they are their foils.

Unova and Seven Sages mention! I've always hoped we could find out who the leader guy was. I think they were preparing us for a Sird vs International Police confrontation for the future, before it was all canceled.

Fiore mention! I have read the Ranger chapters in the past, but I don't think they're available anywhere anymore since the site I used shut down. If anyone can find them they can tell me though, because I would love to do a commentary about those too. You know, to close definitely the Sinnoh saga.

The fistbump ever. They are finally together and happily in peace, as they should have always been.

I love these little shots the manga always shows at the end of an arc, to give an idea about what everyone is doing. Unless the arc ends with a bad ending like FRLG and BW.

I missed them so badly. Starting with a double act to try and become famous, ending with a double act solely for the person they love the most.

Daycare guys! And of course Phione and Manaphy, because in an arc made to show off every single Sinnoh legendary, they couldn't not put these last two. Even if there's still one more missing...

...Which is shown off in the final arc of the fourth generation games. Johto and Gold mention! The reference to the games ever, because HGSS deserves this and more.

Woah, Pt is over too. Of course this was way faster than DP, but it was still a good trip. I hope everyone enjoyed it, because I sure did! This arc may have it's downsides, but in the end DP was the one with the biggest stuff, and this was obviously mostly fanservice.

After this I have to go back to studying once again. I should be free for a while in the second half of April, so I'm thinking to end the fourth gen saga with a HGSS commentary. Tell me what you think!

If you do poly relationships how would one go down between a Pangoro x S/O x Lopunny where the trio knew each other as friends when they were young i.e a pancham, buneary, and kid but grew up and formed a relationship.

(I’m always up for writing poly, don’t you worry! Going with headcanons for this one if that’s ok.)

Being in a relationship with both a Pangoro and Lopunny is like having your own personal bodyguard squad. Especially if they’re childhood friends to lovers with you.

I think they would both always be protective, even back when just friends.

They’re both the kind of Pokemon that have good coats for the winter, though in different ways. Pangoro’s fur is more thick and used for absorbing attacks, and Lopunny’s light and fluffy, used more for protection against the cold. So both would be great snuggle bugs in cold months, but cuddling will have to be sparse in hot months.

I genuinely think that you’d never, and I mean never, have to worry about others being mean to you again. Pangoro is already intimidating enough physically to deter bullies or low-level team grunts, but if that somehow isn’t enough; Both of their physical prowess can make quick work of anyone.

Lopunny would be more sensitive to the emotional side of the relationship and Pangoro would be more sensitive to the physical side. Lopunny makes sure everyone is clean, happy, and healthy; Group bathing is common. You’re going to most likely be the one to cook, but that’s mainly because Pangoro is like a bull in a china shop in the kitchen, and Lopunny hates the prospect of getting food in their fur. Pangoro makes sure everyone feels like enough quality time is spent together and physical affection is given out.

I’d imagine Pangoro would go to bed last, or just stay up late. It’s the dark type that tends to make certain Pokemon more predisposed to being night owls. Either have a really big bed or a big nesting kinda area for sleepy time.

I’m also pretty sure jealousy wouldn’t be an issue. Jealousy stems from insecurity and I don’t think there’d be room for insecurity in a relationship like this.

In the beginning lopunny some how got teleported into a new world and having a mega evolution stone on her choker she comes to meet the heroes and became friends with them and part of the team when she helped defeat the demon bull family showed them how powerful she in her ( mega evolution form )

Each of these guys have meet and got to know her developed feelings❤️❤️❤️for her ( that she is oblivious of until it’s too late ) and made plans to claim her as their mate/wife/queen

You two had met when he came to visit mk though y’all weren’t introduced properly as they city was under attack before y’all could introduce each other.

You had came here through a dynamax den that had a wormhole portal at the bottom of it, caging you from getting out and sending you to this new world. You had met mk and mei when you came to this new world first then the rest sept for mk’s mentor until later but it seemed like introduction can’t happen at this second as the city was under attack by something you don’t know about.

You had team up with mk mentor as you and the others were separated and the two of you were surrounded so why not get to know each other by in a fight?

You talked while fighting, sometimes having to yell when to much noise is going around the two of you but closes to the end of the battle is when you decided to use your mega stone to mega evolve to beat the enemy Ives faster just to get it over with quicker.

Sun was shocked to see you in a new form but not in a bad way, no, no, no, he very much like this form as well as your normal form even if he just met you. It’s like when you would met your soulmate, you just know that their the one for you right then and there.

He have you over after a few months after the fight as a way to get to know you and try to have you fall for him with his charms; sometime he would have mk over since you cared for him as if he was your son already in those months of being in this word.

You started to notice the feelings of love between you and sun as the months go by fast and into the second year of you staying here, so you decided to just stay here a little while longer and confess since you seem to not be able to go back anytime soon. He was glad that you confessed to him and love him as he do or at least you think he loves you the same amount you do; not knowing he loves you more and would even kill for you, he had before so why stop.

Macaque:

You met him on the battle field a few days after coming through this world from that wormhole. You had met mk and the others, but that ended a few days later when he went to attack mk and the group.

He had heard about you through his six ears and decided to check you out, since his curiosity had gotten him; as the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction brought it back, and satisfied he was.

You were so different and everything new to him. Heck he doesn’t even know your species of bunny! And he never really heard of the species of bunny called; lopunny before until he met you.

You knew he was supposed to be the enemy but he was such a flirty and made you blush all the time even when he’s not flirting; when he acts like a gentleman, too!

You never thought you would have fallen for a bad guy in all of your pokemon life but here you are spending time with him while making him feel wanted and not replaceable.

He had told you about his past and man were you mad at sun; which you had only met once, and went all the way over to flower fruit mountain to scold the daylights out of him and help mend the two’s friendship up and at least be acquaintance now.

He thought he would never b in a relationship like this with anyone, and now he wouldn’t want a relationship with anyone but you as you complete him and he would do anything for you and he means anything for you.

Redson:

He had met you because you had destroyed some of his patrol bull clones as they had annoyed you more than you already were as you couldn’t find a way home immediately as you thought you would.

He raged at you but all you did was stare and rub the Cotten around your wrist on his head to come him down.

Which did happen as he went to sleep immediately afterwards which made you snicker and chuckle at the boy as he’s just a sweet boy underneath that brash attitude he has.

You had snuck into his family home and into his room which was hard considering how big it was and how many you had to silently pick through to try and guess which room was his so you could put him to bed.

When you did find his bed he had finally woke up to you tucking him in but that stopped when he had ruined the progress of tucking him in.

When you had met his parents; somehow, you both were and weren’t shocked about how they look, plus they seem to have the opposite attack troupe in their relationship which was interesting to see

It took three years for you two to be in a relationship; in those three years it was really you who had grew feelings for the hotheaded demon oh, while Redson kept on trying to understand the feelings he has for you until he finally realize when it was the new year of the third year, though he was going to confess first but you had ruined his chance wihen you confessed first.

He made y’all do it over so he could do it first like the gentleman he would like to be, plus he was really wanting to do somewhat like how his parents confessed to each other; apparently it was very romantic. Though what he does know is that he wouldn’t trade you for the world even if it meant not getting the chance to rule the world with his parents like he had wanted, no, he would rule the world if you so requested it.

(I don’t actually know how the two had confessed dto was h other and don’t know if it was actually in the book or had any information on how demons confess 😅)

Nezha:

He had went to the human world and met you when he was visiting mk and his friends and come too see a new comer in pigsy’s noodle shop.

He and you had hit it off pretty well but soon had to say goodbye to each other as he needed to get back to the celestial realm to continue his duty.

When he did met you again. It was because sun was annoying him; it would seem that the monkey had figured out that he(Nezha) had soon gain a crush on you and you seem to as well though it apparently was smaller than Nezha Cush was when sun noticed; though he get that as you two met you once’s and decided to change that by saying how the great monkey king would see if you would like to go out with him.

That erupted a dangerous aura from Nezha before he decided to spend more time with you because 1# he has a crush on you and would like to see you more even if that ruins his progress in his duties and 2# because it would help him guard you from both sun and other men who decide to try and get to know you.

You two would do about everything together, since Nezha haven’t spent that much time down in the human realm and because you had recently came to this world entirely; a bit unwillingly; though Nezha thanked whoever did that as he would have never m,eat you if that being haven’t decided to create that wormhole at all.

When he confessed to you, it was on new years of the 2 year you had came to this world, he had also wanted you to go to the celestial realm as there’s an event going on, though not really to celebrate the new years as the gods and goddesses don’t age at all.

He forgot what they were celebrating but it didn’t matter too much for him as long as he get’s to do it with you. You soon became a couple afterwards and did lots of things a couple would do, in both human and celestial realm; sun does tease him every chance he gets which makes Nezha always want to pierce him with his spear if it wasn’t for you stopping the two from agitating each other.

Chapter 2: A New Beginning

[Life’s A Journey]

Summary:

A lot had happened after they parted ways. Nevertheless, the threads that tie them together remained. From children to adults, a reunion that’s long overdue leads the trio to embark on another journey.

Just like old times.

The first thing (Y/n) does when they enter Sonia’s room is divebomb onto her bed. The plush mattress effectively absorbs the weight of their descent and the trainer curls in on themselves like a Litten.

“Don’t get too comfortable,” the redhead giggles as she swiftly usurps her pillow from the resting spot.

“We have a lot to catch up on,” she says as she shoots a glance at Leon. He had relegated himself to sitting in her vanity chair.

“Yeah. Let’s not let this time go to waste!”

“Ugh. Don’t we talk to each other over the phone already?” Leon laughs as Sonia beats (Y/n) with the pillow.

“I’m kidding!” They laugh as they feebly block her attacks.

“There’s no doubt that we have a lot to catch up on, even though we do talk on the phone—especially with you.” They playfully point an accusatory finger at the violet-haired man.

Leon scratches the back of his head abashedly. “Yeah…It’s been a while…”

“I swear, both of you are so limited on time. Sometimes I feel like I’m the one keeping you two in check.” With a hand on her hip, Sonia’s lip juts out in a mild pout and (Y/n) hums.

“Not just you. Hop is mighty loquacious. I’d even go as far to say that I talk to him more than the both of you.”

While Sonia let’s out a noise of surprise, Leon chuckles.

“I suspected as much. If it’s not Gloria or me, then it’s you.”

“Ah, the new champ? I can’t believe it’s been over a year already. How’s she holding up?” (Y/n) moves from their lying position to prop their head onto their hand. Leon shifts in his seat.

“She reminds me a lot of myself. I love the battles and putting a smile on the people of Galar’s face but outside of that—paperwork, meetings with businessmen, sponsorships—it’s not the best. I see the same happening with her.”

“Oof. That’s a bummer. Though, I’m sure she’s a smart kid and will push past that.” Leon agrees with a nod. As he looks back, his business relations weren’t all too terrible. As he grew into the Champion role he had the likes of Rose and Oleana to assist. He will be forever grateful for that help and has been using that knowledge to do the same for Gloria.

“The Galar League is very different from all other regions. While the League is a big deal everywhere else to some extent, Galar is on a different level entirely. It’s like battling here is integral to life, even if you don’t progress very far…”

“That may be true, but I still think that in terms of overall prowess, Galar has a lot to work on.” Leon’s expressive contemplativeness elicits quiet laughs from them and Sonia.

“Stop it. Give Galar a lil’ more credit!” They sit up and cross their legs.

“You’ve still held on to that dream, huh.” Sonia says admirably. Her phrasing was more-so a statement than a question.

It was as if the temperature grew a bit warmer as both (Y/n) and their red-headed friend watched the fire in Leon’s bright eyes glow.

“The dream to make the people of Galar the strongest in the world. A noble endeavor,” (Y/n) teases though Leon pays no mind.

“I meant it then and I mean it now. If I can contribute to making that goal a reality I’ll do what I can.”

“You’ve already done more than enough…” Sonia smiles and (Y/n) intercedes.

“You’re such an over-achiever!”

“You’re ones to talk,” the ex-Champion counters. He swiftly moves from the chair and scoops (Y/n) off Sonia’s bed. They sputter a protest as they’re lifted. The strength that both of their friends possessed was astounding.

“Speaking of champs—congrats on becoming the Unova Champ, mate!”

(E/c) eyes stare into the man’s amber before they begin laughing once more.

“You’re a little too late. Have been Champion for a few years now.”

“Yes, and in those few years we’ve yet to see you. I think it’s high-time to give a proper celebration don’t you think?” They huff before landing a light punch to his chest.

“You don’t have to do that.”

“No no. I want to.”

“Don’t let this opportunity slip, (Y/n)! We need to make the most of this while we can!” Sonia presses. (Y/n) was never one for parties but seeing both her friends adamantly agree to the idea is something that they couldn’t bring themselves to reject.

“Fine,” they concede with a sigh. “But don’t get ahead of yourselves. We’re keeping it small.”

Both nod happily. Even though Leon and Sonia are relatively private people, they weren’t above going wild at grand parties.

             “I also think it’s high-time that we have a battle for old times sake!” (Y/n) huffs at his enthusiasm.

             “Always the one to jump right into it, yeah?” Ah, well, it’s not like I didn’t see it coming.” They shrug as a smug smile grows on their face.

“I’m sure Hop gave you the Mega Stones?” Leon’s eyes grow as he is reminded of this. In his excitement for meeting (Y/n), he had forgotten about the items in his possession. Fishing them out of his pocket he showcases them to the two in the room. Sonia gasps, the academic in her rears its head.

“A Charizardite X?! These stones are so rare to find! How’d you get your hands on them?! Her verdant irises analyze the items. The ex-champion hands them to the professor to further examine to which she does with vigor.

“During my time in Kalos, I came across a hiker that was selling ore. It happened to be within the bunch.” Crossing their arms,  (Y/n) lulls their head to the side. “It’s been sitting in my bag for a while and that’s just a waste.” They jut a thumb toward the violet-haired man. “There’s only one person I know that has a Charizard.”

“It’s nice to know that you think of me whenever Charizard is a topic.”

“Hmm. My colleagues like to drag me on escapades after the League challenges end. So, I’ve been dragged into helping study Mega Evolution.”

“You said that you didn’t find out anything new?” Sonia asks. She was fully aware of the work her childhood friend had been doing but had never gotten close to an artifact closely linked to the profound Evolution.

“We haven’t. The stones are a thing we’ve known about for a while, there just isn’t a whole lot of information about Mega Evolution’s history. As much as I’d like to explain further, we’d be here all day. Plus, it’d be better to learn first-hand right?”

“Go on then,” she agrees giving the item back to Leon and they head out the room and down the stairs.

             As the trio make their way out the house, they join with Hop and Magnolia. The younger brother was busy tossing a ball out to the slew of pokémon that occupied the field. (Y/n) and Leon both had released their teams for some exercise, and it looked like they were having a blast. Most of them were passing the play-thing around before returning it to the teen while Magnolia stood elsewhere leisurely waving a feather toy at Babe and Yamper.

Noticing the pokémon’s attention being shifted away from the ball causes the boy to follow their line of sight.

“Done having your convo already?”

“Not quite,” Leon says as he rolls his shoulders. “We’re gonna take the pitch and have us a good battle.”

“This will be a one-on-one for now. We’re testing things out.” While the explanation was pretty vague on it’s own, Hop understands what the Unova Champion means. He was about to see what Mega Evolution was all about.

With a small cheer in anticipation, he is quick to help corral the pokémon away from the violet-clad battlefield. Sonia and Magnolia meet together on the sidelines and the former professor hums.

“I will take the position of referee if that is alright with you all.”

(Y/n) smiles, “Not at all.”

“That’s more than alright, Gran. Besides, I want to document as much as I possibly can.” She pulls a memo pad from her coat pocket and calls her Rotom Phone forward to record.

“Alright, Charizard. You’re up.” The fire-flying type gives out a sprightly roar and takes a battle stance on his trainer’s end of the pitch.

Lulu, (Y/n)’s Lopunny is called forward. With a prompt explanation, the rabbit pokémon shares a determined look with her trainer and confidently enters the field. Leon takes note of the pink bow that (Y/n) wrapped around the pokémon’s left ear, a stone similar to Charizard’s was in the center but in shades of yellow and brown.

             The tension in the air is palpable. Both pokémon keep their eyes on each other as they stand off. Seconds feel like minutes, then Professor Magnolia commences the battle with the stamp of a cane. In a split-second, Charizard and Lulu are already at each other. Padded paws grip sharp claws as both pokémon dig their heels into the sturdy ground, their strength being pushed against one another prevent any sort of pushback before the two ultimately separate. Jumping back to their ends of the field, both pokémon lunge at each other once more to meet in the center.

“Charizard, use Dragon Claw!”

“Counter with Mega Punch!”

The physical attacks make impact, the force of both coming together leaving a blast of air in their wake as it billows throughout the area. (Y/n) feels it flow through their clothing and Leon felt it weave through his hair. The greenery that surrounds them rustle loudly as the fight continues.

             “Fire Fang!”

             “Dodge and use Shadow Ball!”

Taking a leap over Charizard, Lulu creates a sphere of ominous energy in between her paws and brings it down on her adversary, though Charizard is quick on his feet and redirects. The Shadow Ball is destroyed as he brings his heated fangs down on the attack. The spectral power is enough to nullify his Fire Fang however, and the flames in his maw dissipate. Lulu gives a teasing snicker and Charizard releases a low growl blowing the aftermath of smoke from his nose.

“Brutal Swing!”

“Breaking Swipe!”

Both trainers had shouted their commands in unison. The two pokémon go for a sweep but are caught at an impasse once more. (Y/n) hums amusedly. If their attacks were going to constantly be nulled, this match was going to be a lengthy one. Leon appears to share the same sentiment.

             “I guess some things never change! Even now we still manage to hold each other off!” The glint in the former champ’s warm amber eyes showed a sense of renewed spirit and anticipation. (Y/n) responds in kind.

             “You and I have only gotten stronger since times past. It’s only natural we’d be neck and neck with each other again.” Their smile was prideful, (e/c) eyes harboring mischief. “But we also understand that one of us will slip-up eventually. Regardless of who that may be, Lulu and I will give our 110 percent!” Leon lets out a joyful laugh.

“Well said! We won’t lose, so prepare yourself!”

As they stand by, Sonia and Hop can feel their hearts race. Spectating Leon and (Y/n) as both stand assertively and give quick-witted directions to their pokémon was a sight to behold. Swift and graceful movements between Charizard and Lopunny almost look like a dance. Neither of them let up and devote all their focus on both the opponent and the commands of their respective trainers. Directions continued to be shouted and every time both pokémon went to deal damage it would only end in a stalemate. The clock ticks and Sonia soon begins to notice that the two creatures are starting to grow tired. Movement starts to slow down little by little. Room for exploiting weak points were gradually opening for them both. Meanwhile, Hop and Professor Magnolia gauge the Mega Stones that Charizard and Lulu wear. Both had gradually begun to glow the longer the two butt heads. It was only a matter of time before their power took effect.  Though, the call to transformation was a two-way street.

(Y/n) is quick to make the call.

“Alright! I think it’s time we speed up the process. As much as I love a good battle, I don’t have all day,” (Y/n)’s words are teasing as they move their hand to wrap around their Key Stone. The Key Stone activates, and Lulu’s Mega Stone reacts. The symbol that lie in the center of Lulu’s Lopunnite glows radiantly and the warm mix of yellow and brown is overtaken by an ethereal rainbow. The multicolored aura expands, encasing the pokémon in a prominent crystal before it breaks open to reveal the Lopunny’s transformation. Her appearance is more dynamic with the fur on her ears being shaved down—the tuft being more prominent at the top of the head in the reminiscent form of a butterfly. Voices of wonder flow through the audience. With a flourish, Lulu takes an arm and sweeps a long ear away from her face before taking a boxing stance.

Leon had watched their actions intently and the activation to Mega Evolution seemed simple enough. He is quick to follow suit.

“I’m game for a quick-fire round. Let��s make things more interesting!” He takes his hand and places it over the brooch he’d pinned to his outfit and the glow of the Charizardite X does the same. Charizard is encased in a similar crystal before it falls away. There was no longer a trace of warmth in the skin with orange being replaced with black. His wings have become more pointed and perhaps the most notable feature resulting from the transformation was the bright blue flames that kindle at the jaw and tail. The new power elicits a booming cry from Leon’s companion as he regards his opponent once more. Then the two fighters continue to exchange blows.

“Iron Tail,” Charizard’s tail moves hit Lopunny and she braces for the impact. The damage taken was minimal as the rabbit pokémon listens for her trainer’s orders.

“Ice Punch.” In one swift movement, Lulu utilizes their close distance to hit Charizard on the chest, giving an effective blow. With a grunt, the fire-dragon type jumps back to make space.

“Dragon Pulse.” He opens his mouth as the fire between his jaws grows larger before blowing the flames.

“Use Agility and dodge it,” Lulu just barely bypasses the heat and increases her speed.

“Go for another Ice Punch!” Frigid crystals enclose around Lulu’s fist once more as she goes in for another strike.

“Not a chance!” Leon interjects before giving another command. “Let’s take this up high!” He points skyward with vigor and Charizard follows the order, spreading his wings and lifting off the ground.

(Y/n)’s lips press into a thin line, though it’s gone as soon as it appears. It’s clear that Charizard was now at an advantage, but surely Lulu is more than capable of taking that away.

“Alrighty, Lulu. Let’s meet ‘em there with a Bounce.” In one swift motion, the normal-fighting type gauges Charizard’s location in the air before reaching him in the sky with little to no effort.

“Chip-away with Acrobatics!” With whatever momentum she had in the forever space, Lulu flips and kicks at Charizard utilizing every part of her body—arms, legs, and ears to hit at him rapidly. She manages land a few but is quickly met with retaliation.

“Take her down with an Air Slash!” Leon’s command is instantly met with the action as if they were in synch.

Charizard flaps his wings rapidly to create a razor sharp current of air to which Lopunny takes the blunt force of, being sent back to solid-ground. (Y/n)’s jaw clenches for a moment but they think fast on a method to break their partner’s fall.

“Use Acrobatics once more and land on your feet!” Having heard loud and clear, Lulu tucks in on herself as she speedily descends. Doing a few flips mid-air, Lulu lands on the battlefield safely albeit the velocity. Charizard remains in the air as it seems that Leon is banking on this tactic. It was time to change that.

“Use Bounce! One more time!”

Lulu meets with Charizard in the air once more and the fire-dragon rears for another Air Slash—a mistake that could very well hand them the match.

“Perfect. Go for the wing!” Before Lulu can suffer another super-effective blow, she intercepts by using another bout of Acrobatics to nullify both of their flying-type attacks. Lulu takes the split-second after the nullification to latch on to Charizard’s wing. This action served as a surprise to everyone watching as the rabbit pokémon utilizes Charizard’s weight to swing, using his appendage like a trapeze. Releasing the wing from her grasp, Lulu moves into a 180 back-flip effectively landing on Charizard’s back.

“Drain Punch, let’s go!” A hefty strike to the back destabilizes Charizard’s flight and in the shock brought on by the sapping of his energy, he starts to rapidly fall. Leon’s brows furrow bringing wrinkles to his forehead as he feels the pressure of the fight get heavier. While he’s had plenty of experience in battles, (Y/n)’s unconventional strategies always found a way to turn the tables. It’s something he had noticed back when they’d battled in the Gym Challenge as children. Now as adults battling once again, he’s noticed that their skill in unconventional thinking hadn’t gone away. If anything, it’s gotten stronger alongside their team. Lulu had not missed a beat despite the large risk and managed to pull through. Her partner trusted them completely—relying on them to make the correct calls and obeying without hesitation. Unfortunately for (Y/n), he could say the same for he and Charizard.

“Use this descent to your advantage! Take her down with you and use Heat Crash!” (Y/n)’s eyes widen at this command watching on in growing disdain.

Charizard moves to shake from Lulu from his back avoiding her attempts to take hold and remain on his back. The strong blue flames that flowed from his mouth along with the flame at the end of his tail grew larger and crept along Charizard’s body until he was wholly engulfed in the flame. He feels no pain, but Lulu does and continues to feel the searing heat as they torpedo into the field. Obviously, Charizard uses his opponent to break the fall and (Y/n)’s heart races—faster than it had in a long time. A crater was made in the ground kicking up chunks of dirt and leaving a larger dust cloud.

             (Y/n)’s teeth grind together before they call out to their partner. Both trainers wait a bit as the cloud in front of them disperses. Taking a breath, they grin. Both partners remained conscious on the field thought they both look petered out, though Lopunny looked too worse for wear. She had endured and the Unova champ felt nothing but pride.

This conflict was reaching its end and if they wanted to win, they’d have to do it quickly. Both pokémon remained in close proximity to each other, creating distance wasn’t an option anymore.

             “Dragon Claw,” Leon shouts.

             “Swift,” (Y/n) commands in tandem. The star-like projectiles that come of the attack are easily destroyed by the Charizard’s heavy swipes, but they only served as a distraction.

Gotcha.

“Low Kick,” without a second to spare. Lulu kicks out their legs using his weight against him. The disorientation that follows is exactly what they need to bring this to a close.

“Alright! Finish the job with Play Rough!” Lulu holds Charizard down and uses the remainder of her energy to thrash with the fire-flying type. The dirt and debris that accumulated throughout the fight created yet another opaque cloud within the battlefield though (Y/n) didn’t need to see pass to know that the brawl was over.

Sure enough, as the dust settles, Charizard is down for the count. He had reverted back to his normal self—no black seen in his skin, just the warmth of orange. Lulu managed to stay standing but just barely. The rabbit stood in a fighting stance despite the outcome and only falters at the words spoken by Magnolia.

“Charizard is unable to battle. Lulu is the victor.”

The pokémon’s Mega transformation dissipates as the pokémon falls forward and into a kneel. The jovial cheers of their spectators mixes with (Y/n)’s own as they’re quick to assist Lulu in regaining her health.

             “You did wonderfully, Lulu! I’m so proud of you!” They bring their companion in for a hug and she reciprocates in kind before separating. Turning to see Leon tending to Charizard, the Unova champion praises the winged creature.

             “I’m honestly very surprised. For a first timer, he did a top-notch job.” Leon smiles as he looks up at (Y/n) from his squatting position.

             “That’s good to hear,” his gaze shifts to look back at Charizard. Despite the loss, his partner was in high-spirits— more enthusiastic than he was before the fight, in fact.

             “It’s one thing to see the photos and read about it. Obviously, utilizing the change in battle is a completely different experience.”

             “So what’d ya think?”

             “I think it’s great. Maybe the reason Charizard could get the hang of it so quickly was because the transformation is sort of like Gigantamax in a way. They change form and unlock strengths and abilities that they wouldn’t have otherwise.”

             “That’s why I’m so interested in it. Dynamax and Gigantamax seem to be a capability that is exclusive to Galar with the use of hotspots and wishing stars, but Mega Evolution is something that can be utilized anytime and anywhere, no matter the region. All you need are the proper stones and a close bond with your partner.” They take their hand to make a fanning gesture.

             “I’ve kinda already spieled about this, so I’ll cut to the chase. Keep the stones and add them to your arsenal. It won’t hurt to shake things up a little bit.” Leon had since moved from his squat to stand.

             “Sounds like a plan. We’d never reject this opportunity to get stronger, isn’t that right?” Charizard grunts in affirmation. (Y/n) laughs.

             “And we’ll look forward to it.”

After the post-battle the exchange Magnolia, Sonia, and Hop meet them on the field.

             “That battle was so awesome!” The teen enthused with a twinkle settled in his already bright eyes.

             “I’ve only ever seen a few Mega Evolution battles in my lifetime, and they never cease to amaze me.” Magnolia agrees.

             “I’m so glad Rotom was recording. My heart was beating out of my chest that I failed to take notes,” Sonia whines. “At least I can re-watch it…”

             “You’d best make use of this great power and hone your skill of it, ya hear?” The elder presses to which Leon nods his head with no hesitation.

“Definitely.”

(lopunny gender ratio is 50/50 male or female & Hariyama’s is 75% male & 25% female btw ; just a side note for people who don’t know what a pokemon’s gender ratio is and claim that ‘lopunny is only female & hariyama is only male’ based solely on design)

* Lopunny would probably be unsure of how to feel at the very beginning. He never thought that he would fall in love with someone that was not of his species and someone who is so gruff-looking. * At the very beginning, he would try to forget about his feelings and try to get with someone of his own species but the more he would see you, the more he wouldn't be able to control his feelings, as they grew bigger and stronger. * One day, he would probably trick your trainer to take him with you two. He knows that leaving home would be scary but losing you forever was even more frightening, and he wasn't willing to go through that.

Leaves crunched under tender feet as thunder and lightning painted the sky into a canopy of dark storm clouds. Cold wind blew. Shaking the trees hard. They looked as if at any moment one would come alive and entangle you within it's gloomy branches. You shivered at the thought. Hugging yourself tighter, you trudged on ahead. Not knowing where you were or where you were going. Rain and wind soaked your fur down to the skin, making you shake even more. Dam the wind! Dam the storm! And Dam your old trainer! After being with him practically your whole life, he had decided you were just not worth it anymore. -flashback- Silence. That's all you could hear, all curled up safe and sound. When you felt the familiar calling of summon. Your master was calling you. In a matter of seconds, you came bursting out in a graceful blaze of light. "Lopunny," you greeted your trainer. "Hmph," was all he said as he stood there in silence, staring at you,".........You're free to go." What?

"Lopunny?," you asked shocked. Was he serious? "....I caught a strong beartic this morning. Compared to him, you're a weakling," he stated flatly. ".....L-Lop...?," you asked knees shaking. "You served me ok, but now you're just unnecessary weight dragging me down." What? This couldn't be happening. This couldn't be happening! You looked at him. One look told you he was dead serious. "Lopunny...?" You just stood there....staring at each other for what felt like eternity. "Hmph." With that, he turned around and began to walk away. "Lop? Lopunny!" You ran after him and grabbed his arm, only to be pushed away harshly. "Enough!," he yelled making you shrink back," I don't need or want you anymore! I even took an hour out of my time to find you a forest to live in!" "Lop....?," you quivered. "Hmph. Good luck," he said walking away. "L-Lop?....Lopunny!," you yelled after him, knowing it wouldn't do anything to change his mind. -flashback over- You shook your body, although it didn't do much good with all the rain falling from the sky. You stopped walking and looked around, hoping to get your bearings. You blinked your eyes as they slowly adjusted to the darkness and rain. You could hardly see more than three feet in front of you. It also didn't help that the wind kept blowing your ears around and in front of your face. A loud growl to the right caught your attention. You froze, then ever so slowly, turned around. There in the darkness was a pair of blood red eyes staring back at you. With nothing but violence in those eyes. You knew what is was before it came closer. A WILD HOUNDOOM!!! You shrieked as it leapt at you. Thinking quick, you did a high jump kick to it's face. It whimpered and fell down. You took the opportunity and ran. The rain and wind blocked your view, and you only saw anything is lightning cracked across the sky. And all the while a small throbbing pain emitted from your leg from kicking the houndoom. But, you didn't care. You just ran. You ran and ran until you tripped and fell down a hill. "Lop! Lopunny!," you cried rolling down the hill. You stopped with a loud splashing noise into the mud. You slowly pushed yourself up halfway, spitting out mud. A loud growl got your attention. You looked up and gasped. There was the houndoom, looking angrier than before. Your body froze, and lips quivered as the houndoom opened it's mouth. Getting ready to use hyper beam. You shut your eyes. This was it. Good-bye World. All of a sudden, a dark pulse flew out of no where and knocked the houndoom back a couple of feet. It got back up and lunged at you. Faster than lightning, a purple blur flew past and tackled then houndoom and began to grapple with it. You couldn't see who it was or what was happening through the darkness, wind, and rain. Only the blurs of the houndoom and purple thing as they fought. After what seemed like forever, they finally stopped and separated. With one final growl, the houndoom turned and ran into the darkness. Your eyes got heavy and you felt tired. You could've sworn you saw the purple blur look at you before everything went black. -the next morning- You woke up with a start, panting fast, stumbling to your feet. You weren't in the forest anymore. Instead, you were in a clearing, full of flowers. You noticed that you weren't covered in mud anymore and your leg had stopped hurting. You looked around. Somebody had to have helped you. But who? The purple blur maybe? Or maybe the houndoom out of guilt? Whoever it was, they were long gone now. You sighed and started walking north. Hopefully you'll find a new trainer to befriend. What you didn't see was the red eyes and chesire grin smiling at you from the shadows.

Pairing: (Aged) Gary/Blue Oak x Reader

Summary: After a tragedy, you make the decision to quit your career as a trainer and focus on breeding Pokemon for the general population. You are one of the best in the region. You aren’t expecting the have to deal with your childhood rival and crush suddenly popping back into your life. After all, Gary Oak broke your heart and now you are determined to break his… or are you?

NOTES:*This is my very first pokemon story written many many years ago. I’ve decided to revamp it and see what happens! I hope you enjoy a little Gary / Blue love! I will kinda be combing the anime and game versions and I may or may not have just bought the manga to read… It will kinda be my take on these characters. Ash may become more like Red, but I haven’t really decided yet… I’m just having fun with this!*

You glare into hardened ‘innocent’ eyes.

“You are going to listen to me, you know that don’t you?” you question the baby Buneary before you.

It merely blinks up at you with a stubborn look on its adorable face, before it crosses its arms and turns its nose the other way. You know for an esteemed trainer you sure get snubbed a lot.

“UGH! LOLA! Do something with your child! She is just like you were!” you yell angrily at Lola your Lopunny.

She merely gives you a, ‘what do you want me to do about it?’ look and hops away.

“Some help you are-” you mutter as you watch her go.

“Hey (Name)!” you hear someone yell from across the yard. Looking up you notice Ash Ketchum running across the yard followed closely by a guy a little older than him and a girl no older than sixteen. As they get closer you vaguely recognize the guy as a gym leader, but you can’t place his name.

“Hey Ash!” you say when they get close enough to hear you, “Who are your friends? My help, I hope?”

“You got that right! This is Brock and his little sister Raine.”

“I prefer the term ‘younger’ thank you,” She corrects.

“Right… Younger….”

“Now be nice Raine,” Scolds Brock gently.

“Hi! I’m (Name),” you say introducing yourself to the newcomers.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, have we ever battled?” questions Brock.

“Probably! I think you gave me my first badge way back when,” you say with a laugh. 

“What really?!” exclaims Raine from beside the two of you. 

“Yeah, it’s been a while but I remember a Geodude and an Onyx.”

“That was my team a long time ago. Geodude is now a Gollum and Onyx is a Steelix.”

“Very cool! My little Eevee is now an Espeon, it suits her well.”

He chuckles, “I can’t wait to meet her.”

“Soon enough! Now tell what experience you both have!”

“My brother has a lot of experience. Not only did he travel with Ash on his journey but he also worked at a breeding center for several months. And he is still the Pewter city gym leader,” Supplies Raine in a, dare you say, haughty voice.

“Well that’s fantastic for your brother, but I really would like to know about your own experience with Pokémon.”

“I… well…Um… I don’t really have a whole lot…” she mutters while looking down.

“But she is a fast learner and a hard worker!” interjects Brock on her behalf.

“Good! Then she should have no problem getting this baby Buneary into its poke ball.”

“Oh! That’s easy! I’ll have that done in no time flat!” she says confidently. 

“Ok then. Why don’t you give a whirl?” you say as you throw the ball to her.

She catches it easily and advances toward the Buneary.

“Pokeball go!”

You hold back a laugh as the Buneary leaps up and kicks the ball back to her.

“Why you little…”

“Bun! Bun-ariii!” it says before running off.

“Hey get back here you little twerp!” Raine says giving chase.

“Well, that should tone down that attitude a little. This might take a while guys why don’t we go in and talk about things?” you say turning to the boys. They look on in shock before following you toward the center.

“Wow (Name) this place is really impressive!” Ash exclaims as he follows you through the gardens to the house. 

“Thank you! I have a feeling that it is going to be quite the hand full, but I promised my grass and water Pokémon that I would make a garden for them.”

“But I thought that you only trained psychic, dark and ghost type Pokémon,” Ash said in confusion.

“I do, but I didn’t always.”

“Yeah, I guess you wouldn’t be able to get through the leagues without a little variety.”

“That’s right.”

By this time you have reached the door to your center and you open it up to let them in. Lady wakes up from her nap on the counter and looks inquiringly at your visitors. She jumps down and walks over to you and sits beside your feet.

“Brock this is Lady,” You introduce.

Lady inclines her head as regal as ever.

You turn to the boys and motion them further into the house where the lounge is situated. You place yourself on a chair while the boys find themselves on a couch.

“Now Brock, Raine said that you have experience with the ways of Pokémon Breeding? And you are interested in a job?” you question hopefully, you really do need some more people with experience.

“That’s right. I would only be able to help out part-time I do have a gym to take care of. I’ve decided to stay in Pewter but the commute isn’t too far.”

“And what about Raine?”

“She goes to Viridian Private Academy and lives on campus. I’m afraid that is why I need another job, to pay for her tuition.”

“I see.”

“She wants to be a breeder so she wants a job here for the experience. She wants to be full time but I won’t let her because of school unless it is summer of course.”

“Well I have a deal in the works with the Academy she attends, so I shall see what I can do to help.”

“OH NO! We’re not that bad off!”

“No, I was asked to do this anyway. It was their idea. It seems that my breeding center and status as a trainer are quite valuable. I had to disconnect the phone lines just to get anything done today!”

“Oh is that so?”

“What kind of deal do you have with the academy?” pipes up Ash for the first time.

“They asked me to do a few classes there and allow a few field trips here. I’m being paid for the classes and field trips but I can’t do it all alone, so any students there that work for me will be assisting me during the classes and help with the supervision and demonstrations on the field trips since they are doing that the school agreed to take their tuition down a little. The exact amount is still in the air but besides that, it’s all concrete.”

“Wow! That is really great!” Brock says with relief.

“Oh...don’t thank me yet.”

“Huh? Why? That’s a great cause!”

“Yeah, but I only did it because I need the money for the maintenance of this place. I put my savings into this, so I’m kind of broke right now. So, I really can’t pay you a whole lot to start out with but I promise that when things pick up and I get more established you’ll get a raise!”

“Haha don’t worry about that! I’ll help out here for free; you’ll be helping enough if you can get her tuition reduced.”

“No way! You are getting paid and so is Raine, unfortunately since she has no experience she will get paid even less-“

“I GOT IT!!!!” yells Raine as she comes bursting into the room making everyone jump.

“Got what?” exclaims Ash.

“Don’t do that!” yells Brock in surprise.

“I think I just had a heart attack….” You mutter while clutching at your heart.

“I finally got the Buneary in the Pokeball!!” She says while proudly displaying the Pokeball for all to see. “That means I get to work here right!?”

“Haha that’s right,” you chuckle at her excitement.

“YES!!!” she yells happily while leaping into the air.

“But not if you keep yelling….”

“Right….” she mutters looking away, “Oh! Here is your Buneary back,” she says while handing you the ball.

“No,” you say pushing it back to her, “you’re going to need some help dealing with all of the pokemon here, not to mention taking care of one of your own is the best part of being a breeder.”

“Oh wow!!! You’re serious, aren’t you?!?! Thank yo- wait… is there any way I could have a different one? This one is really annoying!”

“Raine!” Yells Brock.

“I mean… Thank you….”

“You’re welcome.”

“So!”

“Yes?”

“What level does it evolve?!”

“Raine!”

“Wha-at?”

“It depends,” you mutter with a hidden smile on your face.

“On what?” she asks with wide eyes.

“….You.”

“Me?”

“Yes, you.”

“Oh!!! So it needs a stone! Right?”

“No.”

“Well, then how?!?!”

“It depends on your bond with her, of course. Your training will be complete when your Buneary evolves into a Lopunny.”

“How long will that take?!?! Years?”

“It just takes as long as it takes, and yes in some cases it is years.”

“Awww man!!!”

“Now Raine.”

“I know... I know…”

“Oh, I almost forgot to tell you! Since you work here now, if you wish to stay here I have more than enough room here and it would be cheaper and nicer than the academy dorm…”

“ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! THIS IS SOOO COOL! IT’S LIKE THE BEST JOB EVER!!”

“Yelling!”

“Right! Sorry….”

‘Maybe this is a bad idea,’ you think while rubbing your head.

“So! When can I move in?”

“You can as early as tomorrow if you wish.”

“Sweet! No more cramp dorms, no more cold showers, no more smelly laundry that isn’t mine and especially no more Autumn!!”

“Well, in that case, we better get going if we are going to start packing,” says Brock getting up.

“Ok, how about we settle all the paperwork and such tomorrow?”

“That’s fine, thanks so much (Name).”

“Haha don’t mention it!”

You lead the three of them out and as you open the door the girl from the coffee shop is standing in the doorway posed to knock, full work attire stains and all.

“Oh hi! I know you said tomorrow but is it okay if…. YOU!!!! What are you doing here?!?!” she yells pointing at Raine.

“Autumn!!! I could ask you the same thing!” Raine yells back.

Standing between the two you look wide-eyed, back and forth, “Wait! You two know each other?” you ask in confusion.

“That’s right! She is one of my worst rivals!!” states Raine.

“Is that right…” you mutter to yourself a small smirk on your face.

“Oh! Oh! Don’t make me into the bad guy here! You’re the awful one!” Autumn defends.

At this, they both burst into a sporadic yelling contest. Apparently they are trying to see who can get the loudest.

“YELLING!!!” you yell out.

They both stop simultaneously and glance rather sheepishly over at you before muttering a small ‘sorry’ in reply.

“OK! Well, we need to go! Goodbye and thank you (Name)! It was a pleasure. See you tomorrow!” interrupts Brock while pushing a struggling Raine down the drive.

“Yeah see ya later (Name)! Don’t forget about our battle!” yells Ash running after the bickering pair.

“I am so sorry!” Exclaims Autumn with wide eyes.

“It’s ok,” you say with a gentle smile, “you couldn’t wait could you?”

“Haha nope, sure couldn’t.”

“Well, I’m impressed by your eagerness. Now if you don’t mind following me we can conduct your interview while I check on some of my Pokémon.”

“Yeah, of course!!”

The two of you make your way down toward the barn where you keep the Pokémon that you are breeding and training. Although it is mostly empty except for the select few you have chosen to get started. The building is indeed built like most barns with stalls for the larger Pokémon on the bottom and pins of various sizes on the upper floors. Of course, there is a floor dedicated to the eggs the Pokémon lay and a floor for the newly hatched Pokémon. You show her around a bit, and when you get to the ‘nursery’ you hear a shrill ringing.

“What on earth is that?!” Autumn yells while covering her ears.

“It’s a baby Chingling, she is far too curious for her own good. She keeps trying to find her way out of the pin.”

“Oh…”

“Hey, I’m going to calm these babies down, while I do that could you go get her out of whatever mess she’s gotten herself into?”

“Yeah sure, you can count on me!”

Autumn then runs off to help the curious Chingling. You watch her closely while she soothes her then gently pry her from the bars she has gotten herself stuck between. You walk up happy with your instincts on this girl. ‘She is going to do just fine,’ you think as she cradles the Chingling in her arms.

“So…. What are you going to name her?”

“I was thinking that Melody would be…wait… seriously?”

“Of course.”

“No way no way no way no way!! She squeals while jumping up and down holding the Chingling in her arms. “This is the best day ever! Did you hear that?!?! You’re my Pokémon!”

“Bbbrrriinnggg!” exclaims the happy Chingling.

You laugh along with Autumn as she celebrates her good fortune when all of a sudden you hear a different kind of ringing. Quickly you grab your cell phone from your pocket and check the I.D. It says it is professor Oak so you answer it.

“Hello, Professor.”

“Hey (Name)? This is Gary Oak, you know Professor Oak’s grandson, it’s been a while hasn’t it?” answers the ever-confident Gary Oak the one person you never wanted to talk to ever again.

“It sure has Gary,” you say the frigidness in your voice could freeze over the ocean and then some.

“Uhh… yeah, I was just calling to confirm that you are picking up your Pokémon tomorrow,” he says with discomfort creeping into his voice.

“I sure am.”

“Well if you want I could give you-“

“That won’t be necessary; I have plenty of help, but thank you for the offer. Good-bye now,” you then hang up.

“You know Gary Oak?!?!”

“We grew up together.”

“It sounds like you don’t like him very much.”

“Then you hear right.”

“Sooo…. Who’s helping you tomorrow?”

“Why you and Raine of course, after you get settled in that is.”

“What do you mean settled in?”

“Oh, I didn’t tell you? The second floor of the house is used as quarters for my employees, and since you are one of my employees you get a room if you want. Unfortunately, you’ll have to pay but it is a whole lot less than those horrible dorms and much nicer too.”

“Can this get any more awesome?!?!”

“Maybe?”

“Oh, I can’t wait for tomorrow! This is going to be so cool! Oh, and speaking of dorms! I have to get back to mine or I’m going to get in trouble! Thanks so much (Name)! See you tomorrow!”

“Bye!” you call out waving to her as she scurries off down the stairs.

Jingle who has been floating nearby makes a noise of exhaustion.

“I hear ya Jingle… She is going to be a hand full but this is why she got your baby….”

Jingle makes a noise of agreement and follows you out the door, knowing that tomorrow is going to be a long one for you, so she sings you a soothing song.

Your POV

I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend N for 3 years and I want to do something special with him.

I hear him open the door and announce his arrival.

"Y/N! Honey! I'm here!" He calls out.

I grab his hand and drag him into the kitchen where I have baking supplies out.

"N! We are going to bake pokepuffs for our Pokémon. I am going to also have my Pokémon help me." I cheer.

Grabbing the first pokeball off my belt, I release my Gardevoir.

I then call out my Lopunny.

My Ledian comes out next.

My last pokemon appears, showing a Vespiquen.

"We are going to be baking pokepuffs." I tell my Pokémon, them nodding.

"N could you preheat the oven for me?" I ask

He walks over to the oven and starts to heat it.

"Gardevoir and Lopunny please start to measure out the ingredients. I left the measurements on the table." I tell them.

The two of them head off to the smaller island and begin to pour the correct amount of each item into the mixing bowl.

"Ledian please help me crush up some of the berries." I motion towards the collection of Oran, Pecha, Chesto, and Cheri berries.

Ledian nods and we go over to the berries. I grab a blender and we set the Oran berries in.

I put the lid on and turn the blender on, turning it off when the berries are all mixed up into juice.

Ledian pours the juice into a bowl and we repeat the process with the rest of the berries.

Once done, we put away the blender.

"Vespiquen, can you be a dear and go into the garden and collect some Razz berries?" I ask.

Vespiquen buzzes happily, hugs me, and flies out of the door and into the garden.

Separating the ingredients into different bowls, I pour one berry mixture into each bowl.

Grabbing four wooden mixing spoons, I call Lopunny, Gardevoir, and Ledian over.

"Could each of you grab a spoon and mix a bowl together until the mixture is nice and creamy?" I ask.

They all nod and grab a spoon.

Gardevoir holds her bowl with psychic while mixing, Lopunny is holding it, and Ledian is holding hers.

I grab the bowl with the Oran berry juice and start mixing.

Once I see the mixture get creamy, I stop and ask my Pokémon how their bowls are doing.

They all smile and nod, showing me their bowls.

"N!" I call out.

"Yes Y/N?" He replies.

"Could you get two large baking trays?" I ask.

He doesn't reply but instead walks over to the cupboard and pulls out two large metal baking trays.

I take them and set them on the counter.

Grabbing the first bowl, I spoon a spoonful of the mixture on the tray until it covers half and the mixture is gone. I then do the same with the next bowl until the other side is covered.

I then repeat the process with both bowls on the second tray.

"Gardevoir please use psychic and put both of these trays in the oven." I say.

Gardevoir nods its head and follows my command.

Once the trays are in, I start the oven.

At this moment, I hear Vespiquen come back in with an armful of Razz berries.

I have it set them down in a basket and explain what I needed them for.

"These are going to be the toppings for the pokepuffs." I explain.

"Gardevoir and Lopunny please chop these up into thin slices." I say.

The grab a knife and begin to cut the berries.

Walking over, I bring out many tubes of icing.

"These are for decorating the pokepuffs." I tell my Pokémon, them nodding in understanding.

"N please help Gardevoir and Lopunny." I say as he follows and goes to monitor them.

Once the berries are cut up, I tell them we can have a break.

I hear the oven beep. I pull on oven mitts and take the two trays out. Setting them on the table, I let them cool off. After about 20 minutes, I gather my boyfriend and Pokémon around and give them the icing funnels.

"Decorate the pokepuffs however you like. When you finish icing them, please Razz berries on the top." I direct.

After 30 minutes of intense decorating, our pokepuffs were complete.

"All of you did an amazing job. You may each eat three pokepuffs." I say smiling.

They cheer in happiness and grab the three they want to eat.

I grab a blanket and lay it outside on the grass.

Leading my Pokémon out, I tell them we are having a small picnic.

After finishing my Oran and Pecha pokepuffs, I look up at my loving N and see he has icing on his lips.

Chuckling, I lean up and kiss him softly, tasting the icing.

My Pokémon look at us lovingly.

These treats have made the bond between human, pokemon, and lovers stronger.

Chapter- The First Date Battle

Prompt: Pokemon! AU 

Pairing: Tim X Reader (now)

Your Team: Your Team: Rydon, Bayleef, Eevee, Houndour, Altaria, Jangmo-o

You had been at the Gotham City gym for a few days now. You trained with anyone who asked, Harley, Damian - one of Burce’s other sons- you attempted to train with Dick, but that hadn’t gone very well. His team was probably the second strongest in the gym, containing an Alola formed Ninetails, a Stoutland, Zangoose, Linoone, Swampert and of course, his Milotic. So, you hadn't lasted very long.

Harley was more your speed, she was friendly and funny, even in battle she didn't let up on her jokes. The two strongest members of her team, her two Mightyena, hardly left her side opting to guard her then sit in their Pokeballs.  She had a Mr. Mime, Mimikyu, Lopunny, and a Spritzee that were on the same level as your Pokemon, so they were fun to train with.

But right now, you wanted a challenge, so you were training against Damian. His team was a bit tougher than yours, but not as tough as the other boys, so you thought you’d give it a go. He had a Nidorino that was being a bit difficult, so you recalled Bayleef, who returned to your side and sent in Houndour, “Let’s go Houndour!” You cheered.

Damian rolled his eyes, “Nidorino, hit Houndour with Poison Jab.” The Nidorino let out a snort and charged forward.

“ Houndour,” You said, “Try to dodge it!” Houndour, did attempt to move out of the way, only to be hit by the Nidorino’s horn. You grit your teeth as Nidorino backed away, you watched your Houndour struggle to it’s feet before it stood it’s ground. You sighed, “Use Fire Blast!”

Fire poured out of Houndour’s maw, and Nidorino was hit with it’s full force, resulting in several burns.

“Nidorino,” Damian calmly asked, and the purple Poison Pin Pokemon raised it’s head looking back over it’s shoulder at it’s trainer. Damian surveyed the situation, Houndour was poisoned, then looked up at the screen to find that it still had twice the amount of HP that Nidorino still had. He motioned towards you with an open hand, “Nidorino is too weak to continue, we forfeit this match.”

You smiled and Hounder barked happily in triumph before you recalled it your side, petting it’s head with some verbal praise. You’d walk it over to the pokemon center in a minute to get it healed, you promised it. But first you walked over to Damian, holding out your hand, he shook it and you smiled telling him, “Good work.”

“Tt.” He responded, not really angry txt his Nidorino had lost, but a little off put. He hadn't expected to loose.

You both turned as tim entire the field, “hey guys how’s training going?”

“Good,” You responded, “Damian’s pokemon are pretty strong, I could only defeat his Nidorino and his Skorupi. All the others were too tough for us,” you looked over at Eevee, Bayleef, Altaria, Jangmo-o, who were all laying down next to Rhydon, exhausted from their own training.

Tim nodded, “Why don’t I walk you over to the Pokemon Center?”

“Thank you,” You responded whistling for your Pokemon to stand so you didn't catch them by surprise when you recalled them to their Pokeballs. “Those hallways are still kinda confusing.” All of your Pokemon stood and allowed themselves to be recalled, except for Eevee, who jumped into your arms. Tim nodded and walked forward, you followed him. You couldn't stand the silence for very long and asked, “So, how long have you been a trainer?”

“Since I was twelve.”

“Oh! So you’re a late bloomer like me?!?” You asked, happy that you weren't alone.

“Wait, when did you start?”

“Um, about a year ago,” you replied, “ didn't expect to find so many Pokemon so soon though, I caught most of them as they passed through certain areas during Migration. Well, except for Rhydon, he wasn't actually mine, but when he was abandoned because his Trainer didn’t think he was tough enough. I wasn't about to leave him on his own. He was never wild and had no clue what to do! And Houndour,” you said looking down at the Pokeball you were holding in your hand as you carried Eevee, “ they were apart of a stray pack that liked to bother travelers near the edge of the city.”

“How did you get Jangmo-o?” Tim asked as he lead you around a sharp turn, one of the last legs in the journey to the Center.

“She was the most difficult to catch out of them all.” You told him, smiling at the memory, Eevee reached her head up and rubbed it against your chin. “When we were traveling we came upon the Kommo-o hatching grounds by accident. We found my Jommo-o right after she had hatched. She was still pretty tough, but I didn't want to leave her all alone and I had to use everyone’s help to tire her out and catch her.”

“Why didn't you just leaver her at a Ranch or a Center?”

You blushed, “I got a bit attached to her…”

Tim smiled and the two of you stopped in front of the doors that lead to the Pokemon Center, “Here we are! Do you need any help to get to the lodge you’re staying at?”

You shook your head, “No, thank you though.”

Tim nodded and the two of you went separate ways with cheerful good-byes. You handed over Houndour to the same Nurse Joy, and waited for the healing to finish. While you waited, you went to the waiting room and released your other Pokemon so they could eat and relax for a moment. Once Houndour was ready, you pet out a bowl of Pokechow for them as well. You got into your backpack for a sandwich you had made earlier.

After everyone was done eating, you returned all your Pokemon to their respective Pokeballs -Except for Eevee, who perched on your shoulder- and started to walk back to your lodge. When the city streets shook as you walked back, you turned around to catch an explosion at it’s end from one of the banks. Your Eevee digging her head into your neck from fear. You had heard about the villains and heroes from newspapers and rumors, so you were surprised when the man dressed in a purple suit raced from the bank, his Tangela, Mr. Mime, Arbok, Haunter and Weezing all out and in full force. You went to take a step back, only to be stared down by the  Pokemon and Joker as they raced down the street. The Tangela noticed you, and you turned to run, only for it to use Vine Whip in order to catch both you and your Eevee, holding you both tightly aloft and separated. You screamed and kicked, trying to get free while your Eevee squirmed. The joker laughed with glee, “Weezing, take care of these-”

A red blur jumped down from a neighboring building and blocked their path, you recognized him as Red Robin. The Joker ignored you from then on, even the Tangela lost interest in you and your Eevee, making it easy for Red Robin to aim a well thrown tool that looked like his symbol. You grabbed your evolution pokemon and raced away. Just as Red Robin threw out a Pokeball after a few taunts from the Joker, revealing an Alakazam and a Meditite. You watched form the safety of an alleyway before you you made up your mind. “Stay back Eevee,” you ordered as you raced forward pulling out two of your own Pokeballs. Red Robin saw you coming, “Miss, stay back-”

You ignored him, shouting, “Go, Rhydon, Altaria!” The two pokemon leapt out, ready for battle, letting out roars and screeches to intimidate their foes.

Red Robin placed over at you, “You sure you wanna fight?”

You nodded, “You’re gonna need help form someone!”

“Okay kiddies,” Joker cackled, “get ready to have some fun! Weeping, use Poison Gas!” Red Robin jumped in front of you to shield you from the gas, and Alakazam worked to shield the other Pokemon.

Both were only slightly successful in their attempts, and you all coughed, but you managed to shout out, “Altaria, get it out of here, use Gust!” Altaria let out a few syllables of her name as she cleared the poison gas with a few powerful gust of her wings.

Red Robin pointed at Joker’s Arbok as the smoke cleared, “Alakazam used Psychic!” You smiled as the powerful Pokemon did the move in a routine fashion, easily causing the Arbok to faint. The Haunter and Mr.Mime both charged at once, probably ready to use tackle. Red Robin and you both moved in-sync, Red Robin said, “Meditite, use Shadow ball on Haunter!”

You steered your Rhydon in the right direction, pointing to the advancing Mr. Mime, “Rhydon, use Earthquake!” Both of the attacks went off without a hitch and caused the foes to faint. The Joker started to sweat, all he had left was Tangela and his Weezing, both of which were considerably weaker than the other four in front of him. Instead of sticking around for the battle, he turned to flee, only for a deep voice to shout, “ Noivern, Boomburst.” You had to cover your ears as the blue sound waves made Joker and his other two Pokemon faint instantly. Rhydon and Altaria shrank back to you, and you quickly returned them as the Noivern and it’s master swooped down, revealing Batman as he swooped down into the light. Red Robin returned his Alakazam and his Meditite to their poke balls before he turned to you, “are you alright, Miss?”

You nodded as you returned your Pokeballs to their holster on your waist, “yes, I am. Thank you for asking.”

“The police are on their way,” Batman informed you as he walked over after securing the Joker. “Miss, you should stay here so they can get your statement and then escort you home.” You nodded, your Eevee bounding out of the alley before launching herself at you. You yelped but brought your arms up just in time catch her. Red Robin caught you before she could tackle you onto the ground.

You smiled up at him as he set you back up, “Uh, thank you.”

He smiled with a nod, “You’re welcome. Batman, I’ll stay here with her, you should get Joker back to Arkham.”

Batman nodded, before picking up Joker, freed his Pokemon and then his Noivern allowed him to climb up on it’s back and then leaving the two of you alone.
